What can I expect from our first session?

The initial session with your therapist or coach is an opportunity to get to know one another and for you to ask further questions about the approach and modalities that will be used during your sessions. Each associate offers a unique blend of expertise, skills and lived experiences.

This first meeting is a time to discuss what prompted the connection and your reasoning, motivations or stated goals for seeking support. You may expect to discuss elements of family history, some assessment of current life situations, psychoeducation, a preliminary plan and appropriate fit.
