As an individual counsellor, Arash believes clients benefit from counselling in a variety of ways: to gain greater understanding and awareness of one’s internal struggles; become empowered to make changes; develop the skills to better manage and confront unresolved issues; and to grow from one’s life experiences. Arash’s approach is an integration of various theories of counselling. Since every client is unique, he believes it necessary to tailor an approach to suit the needs of each client.
Arash is accredited by the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association, and has a Masters degree in Counselling & Spirituality from St Paul University and a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Ottawa. He has supervised clinical experience with adult individuals dealing with life problems such as depression, anxiety, loss & grieving, interpersonal skills, family issues, work-related issues, multi-cultural issues, gay & lesbian issues, trauma, coping and communication skills.
